For the second year running, NEFF is a proud sponsor of the Maloof Money Cup and we have your first look at the signature lids.
Founded by Joe and Gavin Maloof, owners of the Sacramento Kings NBA franchise as well as the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, the inaugural Maloof Money Cup kicked off in 2008 as a three-day festival in Orange County, California, featuring such events as the US Pro Men’s and Women’s Street Championships, the US Pro Vert Championships, and the Maloof Money Cup Am Championships.
Believing that professional skateboarders are world class athletes and should be compensated as well as the primadonnas in the “big four” United States sports, the Maloof Money Cup 2010 contests offer a combined purse of nearly $800,000 in cash and prizes with $100,000 going to the winners of each street contest and $75,000 to the vert winner – not too shabby, friends.
For its third year in existence, the 2010 Cup has expanded to the East Coast and skateboarding mecca New York City. With a new mission to work closely with the skaters and the industry to create a new type of contest, the Maloof Money Cup features the most diverse group of skaters ever assembled to compete on one-of-a-kind courses designed by the skaters themselves – guaranteed to showcase some of the most progressive skateboarding ever witnessed.
Kicking off June 5th at Flushing Meadows Park in Queens, New York, the Maloofs have forged an agreement to donate the world-class skate park they will build for the Volcom Pro Street competition to the City of New York through the NYC Parks and Recreation Department’s “Adopt-A-Park” program. Everyone wins this year!
Be sure to check out the madness in NYC (we’ll keep you updated on the West Coast swing this August), but in the meantime, hit the jump to get the first looks at the official NEFF x Maloof Money Cup lids.

If you know your shit, this could be the easiest contest in Karmaloop history – here are the rules, fools:
1. You have to be a fan to enter this discussion (so join us on Facebook or follow our tweets, sweets)
2. List your favorite items, creating your ideal outfit.
3. Follow us on Twitter to find out who wins & claim your prize!
Whoever has the steeziest fit, judged by our expert staff, will be announced FRIDAY APRIL 30th, 2010 at 5 PM EST on our TWITTER page & take home the gift code!
If the winner doesn’t claim his or her prize back via TWITTER within 10 minutes, a runner-up will be announced, and then that person has 10 minutes to claim the prize, and so on and so forth… until somebody wins (doye).
GOOD LUCK!!!

Hey!
Calling all young folks, old folks and in-betweens! Karmaloop is kicking off the next official contest, this time with Swedish streetwear slayers WeSC. For all of you talented cats out there, we know you’re way more creative than we could ever hope to be, so we’re leaving it up to you to create the official WeSC x Karmaloop collaboration tee – here’s what we’ve got goin’ on:
While rules are typically meant to be broken, that’s not the case with us! “WeSC” has to be spelled-out as such [capital W, lowercase e, capitals S and C - doye] under penalty of disqualification and the certain ridicule of your peers, parents and schoolyard bullies.
The lucky winner will be awarded an insane $500 shopping spree on Karmaloop.com, but it doesn’t stop there; the winning design will be featured all over the Karmaloop and WeSC Web pages AND used as a gift of purchase on future WeSC orders for the Fall 2010 drop. More exposure than our dad gets with that damned trenchcoat!
The Top 10 finalists will be put through a rigorous test of torture, humiliation, and… sike. Our 10 favorite entries will be judged by WeActists and all-around stellar human beings, including Alex Prager, Clint Peterson, Mercedes Helnwein and the infamous Stash!
Up to the challenge, motherfuckers? Click the banner below to read the official rules, download your tee template and show us what you’ve got!
Good luck!

Congratulations to Amber Counts, winner of the Karmaloop x Wale Pretty Girls Contest!
Of the thousands who entered, Amber, a 20 year-old biopsychology student from Virginia Beach, was picked by Wale himself as the lucky recipient of not just a $500 Karmaloop shopping spree, but furthermore will be blessed with the once in a lifetime opportunity to flaunt her fine-ness as a guest Karmaloop model. On behalf of all of us in the photo room, we’re just as stoked as Amber must be!

Sign up with our homies at Thrillist, the free daily email service that finds the best new bars, restaurants, events or services that you need to know about that day, for a shot at a $1,000 Karmaloop shopping spree. That’s right, all you have to do is sign up – no nude pictures, personal favors or forwarding of monies required (though each of the aforementioned would be appreciated by us here at the Blogs).

When he’s not under-cooking his pasta, Sean Davidson, a senior designer, DJ and copywriter (we like him already – looking for an internship, dude?), is creating award-winning graphics for Massachusetts and Maryland Special Olympics, the Baltimore-based EPICENTER youth program, Doctors Without Borders, and now, the UNICEF vs. Karmaloop Tap Project. In other words, Sean Davidson is the balls.
“TAP THAT!” Sean exclaimed, explaining his design concept. “I want people to actually buy this shirt – lets be realistic, if it is going to sell to the [Karmaloop] audience and is for a good cause, there needs to be a level of humor and/or fresh design.”
Our dude’s right – now how about starting that internship?
Don’t forget to check out some of the other designs here, and to learn more about UNICEF and the Tap Project, click here.
Thanks to all of those who participated! If you didn’t win this time around… we’re very disappointed in you. We mean, better luck next time.
