Introducing… Amivectio
“Amivectio comes from the combination of two Latin words,” explains creative director Hector Estrada. “‘Amicus,’ which means friend or comrade, and ‘circumvectio,’ which means to assail or revolt. I put them together to simplify things and create a new term meaning ‘friends of the Revolution.”
Comprised of a passionate group of friends hell-bent on creation and starting the revolution in the streetwear market, Amivectio certainly believes a change in ideas is desperately needed and they have the product, designs and drive to make it happen. Embracing the challenge, it is Amivectio’s mission to alter the system for the good of the masses with an informed movement to achieve equal opportunity, tolerance, education, peace and progress, health and sustainability as well as clean air, soil, water and energy through design, communication and community. In the words of the great José MartÃ, “doing is the best way of saying,” and Amivectio has taken those words to heart by linking up with Clean Water Action in support of its fight for the environment.
As evidenced by the shots above, Amivectio’s line for the spring is ultra-clean, bold and militant, with The Deactivate Tee (above left) and The Peace of Mind Tee (above right) already cemented as staff favorites here at The ‘Loop. However, with just 120 units produced in this limited-edition run, we’re playing nice and giving you first-shot priorities. Starting to regret it already…
