DJ Kon is Back with a Vengence!

kon

Our good dude DJ Kon is back in good health and spirits, and his first official return performance will help bring Boston into the 21st Century through the power of bass!

As a veteran of Boston nightlife helping tear shit up at Thunderdome and scattered clubs across the Hub, Kon knows a thing or two about current Mayor Menino’s ridiculous measures to keep the city’s Blue Laws in effect. What better way for him to get back on the scene than to support the progressive Michael Flaherty / Sam Yoon ticket?

Next Thursday, October 22nd, Kon and DJ Texas Mike join forces with Karmaloop to support the Flaherty/Yoon ticket with a fundraiser at Underbar Super Lounge. Following a VIP cocktail and appetizer reception from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the shit goes down for a ridiculous, recession-friendly $10 admittance highlighted by Kon getting back behind the decks where he belongs.

Now, you know how Kon events go down – heads packed to the sweat-drenched walls and filled with enough energy to keep this city lit up for weeks. That said, Underbar’s Super Lounge is super-small so space will be super-limited. To make sure you’re a part of this landmark occasion, the return of Kon and to help defeat the evil forces of Menino and his pilgrim-era mentalities, r.s.v.p. to futureclassic.net before you’re left out in the cold… and it has been getting mighty chilly here in Boston the last couple weeks.

Wale – The Attention Deficit Tour; Boston Tomorrow Night!

wale

Indie-rap kingpin Wale swings through The Bean’s Harpers Ferry tomorrow night with famed Washington, D.C. go-go band UCB in support of the forthcoming Attention: Deficit album. The A.D.D.-induced insanity starts when doors oopen at 8:00 p.m. with supporting acts Colin Munroe, Madness 2012, The U.N. and D.Stacks, while the party keeps moving with music from DJs Knife and Ghost Dad and your host with the most, Karmaloop‘s own resident nerd, zombie hunter and sit-down comedian, Ricky Mortis. Barely-legal age requirement, and tickets run $17 in advance and a recession-friendly $20 at the doors – but get there early, as this one is bound to sell-out quicker than 50 Cent after nine shots and a hug from Eminem. You know how it goes with Leedz Edutainment productions!

Click here to purchase tickets online, and check out more of Wale’s brand of hip hop at his MySpace page here.

Apl!iq presents: Downtown Getdown

apliq

To all of our Lost Angels out there, Kazbah representers Apl!iq are holding yet another event of epic proportions. If this latest jump-off is anything like the jam in Brooklyn last January, you better shine up those drinking boots and plan on taking off some “vacation time” from work the following week.

It all goes down May 2nd at the shiny new Apl!iq workshop, located at the Northwest corner of Broadway and 8th in Downtown Los Angeles. Grown folks only (21+), and it’s free before midnight – but we would recommend getting up there early like morning wood to avoid paying a whopping, recession-insensitive $5 or getting left out in the cold and walking your rejected ass back to Silver Lake.

Hosted by MC Isa with performances by Casxio, Aziz Habibi, Superdunny, KC Paradise and Mearri, not to mention raffles, photos and an open roof, r.s.v.p. at apliiq.com a.s.a.p. and g.e.t. d.o.w.n. with these Kazbah rockers!

Order now for a personalized fitting!

… well, we can’t go that far. But what we will do is honor free shipping with orders over $45, no questions asked – and for our fellow stunters, shot-callers and cock-blockers, use promo code POP45 on any order over $120 and get an additional 10%-off!

Hey, Boston! Where the fuck are ya?!

Generaladmitt

Karmaloop is hosting another Hub-town throwdown, and if you’re still alive and remember the holiday jam from last year, this will be another epic not to be missed!

Golden Nuggets features a special guest appearnce from ITF, Vestax and DMC World DJ Champion A-Trak, who will be taking a break from backing Kanye West’s live performances to get down with us for one night only. Joining A-Trak in front of the decks will be Chicago’s own Murder Club moped rider Hollywood Holt with DJ Mano and Bodymore, Murderland’s own B. Rich.

The madness comes to fruition the night of St. Patrick’s Day, a perfect way to top-off Boston’s unoffical city-wide holiday. Hosting again this year is Estate, one of Boston’s premier venues located in the infamous Alley at One Boylston, capable of holding three floors worth of us maniacs.

Always recession-sensitive here at The ‘Loop, tickets are just $10 and can be purchased at www.wanttickets.com. Don’t sleep! Last year’s turnout brought Karmaloop friends and family from across the globe, so make sure you get in before you’re left out.

Check out music from A-Trak, Hollywood Holt, Mano and B. Rich if you don’t already know, and show up on the 17th displaying your love for Boston with these classic tees!
